Meet PCS Awesome Arrangement and indeed this is one AWESOME arrangement! She is staying at my place because my best friend is too cool.Well she's here so I can figure out a deal to get her to be truly mine.
To tell the truth i've always had a thing for her.It's like forbidden love or something.
Her and Moonbean hit it off pretty well!
I also want to make her a foal halter. We'll see how that goes.

Houdini STILL isn't here.I really NEED my horsey fix! Wait....I just got Awesome..

Wee my blog just had an extreme makeover!
And I love it! I know the header is too big I'll change that soon!
OMG. Has it really been a month?

Last week i realised i have been deprived of models for 4 months! Insert sound of head banging against wall! No way I was gonna let that last! So now in less than a week i have gotten myself back on the model horsey shopping track!

First up is Bruce who will be getting a new coat.I'm pretty sure he wants to be a flaxen chestnut.

Then comes Annie and she will be staying OF. Oh, and did i mention that Annie an Bruce are so tiny they could pull it off as Micro Mini foals? My collection made a new record in terms of smallest models!

Next up is the 2010 Schleich friesian stallion. What a gorgeous model. I just got him today so he remains unnamed for the moment. Name suggestions are very welcomed!Man he is PRETTY. I can't stop looking at him. I'm so glad I didn't pass him up!

And the shopping spree ain't over yet! There may be a Norhtilght coming into town!

And now for something special....fresh out of the proverbial oven....

This is my donation to Pioneer Classic 2010(provided it gets there on time)
His studio name is Sire De Lacrosse. He is a Schleich Andalusian remade to a knabstrupper gelding.

Oh and i really want to make a racing saddle to get a hang of english type saddles. We'll see how that goes! Right now i'm working on gathering my referance.

Sorry i got busy again. *blushes*
Well, I got 5th out of 7 in the dressage comp. It's not relly a bad thing since you know i'm not really a dressage person in the first place and you know it was like, um, what, my 3rd time showing? And my trainer said i did well.And i gained lots of info on dressage showing! So all in all it was still quite a succsessful show.I had fun.
I finished Susan's commission!

Also, I feel like lately this blog has been all about me apologizing for not posting. That's not cool and i won't be doing that any more.
My goal of posting at least twice a week is still standing, don't worry about that!
Oh! I forgot to mention that i will be going to the Tallinn International horse show from the 18th-20th! THAT will be VERY much FUN!

OK i think all major things have been updated and i'll just go now!

Sorry. I really haven't had any time lately. But seeing as everyone is having new goals for blogging, so do I. Mine is a bit more humble though! So my goal is to post at least twice a week now.We'll see how that goes.
So um real horse news. Lessons have been bad lately. We have small snowstorms all the time so Laki (i'll be competing in dressage with him) has just been a nervous wreck lately. Yesterday he litterally hand-galloped.And there were jumps in the arena. Bad memories. It's sad cause i really feel that my latest fall has taken a big toll on my riding. Time Love and Tenderness will eventually fix that i'm sure.And Laki was a really good boy yesterday. We stayed behind a smaller pony most of the lesson but we rode the scheme pretty well on our own.And he only spooked with me once. And thinking back that was even kinda fun. AND considering that before the fall I used to ENJOY smaller spooks maybe i'm not as scared anymore.
Erin just spilled juice on the white carpet in the living room. Lol it's the second time she's done that in the same place. Poor little carpet.
So uh I guess it's a sign from god for me to move on to a new topic?

Model horses.I finished a commission piece for susan. One more now. A chestnut tovero.I set up a website for my studio.

How do you like it?
My stable site is no.44 on top 100 model horse sites! Awesome!
I've been photo showing a little lately, and am considering participating in MEPSA's novice classes.The photo show i entered i left one with 4 1st's and the other i got Best in show with my Kuchi! Cool.I might order some leather from rio rondo and make a western saddle. MAYBE.
Other news. Wow! Winter i s in full bloom! Usually at this time we have spring! It's so wierd that it's so cold GLOBALLY.Yeah i just can't wait for the snow to be gone! And some scientists are saying the next 5 winters will be like this. I don't know weather i should laugh or cry at that! BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel!The weather forecasts say that it gonna be +1 C Wednesday! I sure hope so, it's my competition day! And ofcourse when it all starts to melt i will have problems. You see i spray my models in the basement and if that floods, well can you imagine me on a boat spraying a model horse!? XD.
I'm all curled up in the house and will got get some hot cocoa soon...

What is style week?

Style week is a yearly thing our school hosts. Bsically on this week every day has a different theme. Everyone dresses up and we have activities and stuff.Of course you don't HAVE to participate but well...you're cool if you do! Today only me and Susan were participating. In the junior building of our school we never really took part.We always forgot and you know we actually liked school uniform back in the day. We just sorta let it slip. But not this year! We're planning to participate this whole week! That means the school uniform day too.

So what was today?

Today was Superhero Day!

Some new projects in my head.

I'm blogging right now because i can't find my orange felt pen which i need to write in this notebook in which are all my real horse getting ideas type things.
Yes by the way i have some new ideas in mind.
Firstly i will check out JYSK (A sort of home improvement store) and hopefully buy some cheap oils.And then i will search for tutorials regarding painting models with oils....somebody stop me before it's too late...
And then i will hopefully start making a pattern for a western saddle. Because that's what i want to make. i've always found western saddles easier to understand than english.Maybe cus' i have an OF Breyer western saddle at home but also the western saddle kind of reminds me of layers. Sorta.
But yeah i will now continue my quest for the western saddle. Sorry, orange felt pen. Wow talk about obsession!

Whew! i'm back from the excursion! i forgot to tell you that i was going on a ski trip on the 29th. But boy was it COOL!We got back on the 31st. I loved pretty much every second of it! It was really cool to play yatzy with one of my teachers. And you know overall it rocked. But when it was time to ski i somehow managed to get uncleaned and you know icy skis. Lol they didn't slide AT ALL so going down the hill was in slow-mo. It was H-I-L-A-R-O-U-S. Simply hilarous.So funny.
And i am going to be very busy. the commision(s),donations etc. And now i also have an evil plan. Basically i'm trying to convince my parents to lease me a horse. I'm writing an essay.*wordless*

Acctually there was only one. And there should have been one today too but NO my mom had to drop me off, didn't she. Darn.-23 should be enough to stay at home.Gosh. OK rant over!
OK i have primed susans's commission horse and started the first layer of gray.

Well theres an english exam tomorrow.I think i'll do rather well. lol.

A LAKI Escape

Ok sorry i haven't updated!

But anyway last week i jumped a 50 metre fence!
And almost got a concussion.
XD
yeah.
I rode Laki (hence the title) And well it was canter time and there were a few jumps in the arena... He was cantering refusing to turn away from the jump you know..and i had just lost a stirrup...i'm amazed i even stayed on in canter with one stirrup...And then he jumped.YAY. And we made it across the jump without even knocking it!(I ain't a pessimist you see!) And then i fell. After the jump. FAIL.And a loud crack went through my riding helmet. Wow. I've got a new one now.yeah. Talk about backbreaking fun! Hehe.
I've also started making an arabian halter.It's orange.I just need a golden chain to finish it...God only knows when i'll get that.
I got a new computer! Windows 7 rocks!
I've also been working on my website.
I will be doing a donation to Pioneer Classic Live (really awesome show check it out!) so i will keep you updated on that. I also got another commission for a chestnut paint...BUSY BUSY BUSY...

Sorry i've been gone for such a long time school is back on and i've been really busy.
I'm still using the Mac. ouch.Dad is coming home tonight so maybe i'll get back to my laptop soon...
At the horse show i got first! There were 8 competitors and 4 disqualified. lol. Wee my first rosette ever!! Needless to say that i'm VERY pleased!
I've also found a place where i can buy thread for the rope halters so i will probably make some more soon. I want to try to color it...
We'll see how that goes! = )

And a question to Raili! Do you think i should write in estonian? = D

Don't worry i'm still alive. I really can't believe that it is still tuesday. Ugh. At least there's something good today. "Fringe" is on soon.'S pretty cool. And creepy.
Anyway... I went to the dentist today.I had a hole and i'll be going back on friday. I've had some rather awful experiences with the dentist lately. You see i'm terribly afraid of shots and all sorts of medical needles. So the last time i didn't let them give me the shot that makes your mouth numb. Let's just say i won't make that mistake again! It was so painful. So today i got the shot. First they used the children's thingie they call "jam" to make me numb for the shot. HEHEhe. Yeah.I'm miserable. But my mouth was numb for about 3 hours so i guess thy did a good job!
Also my 'puter is being wierd so i'll have to use the mac for a few weeks. I don't really like mac's. I just don't feel at home using them. But its better than no computer at all, right? Right? That means i won't be uploading too many pictures either.
And i will soon post a tutorial on making rope halters. Again my PC is trying to stop me.
The riding report will be up shortly. You might notice that i skipped some. I'm not gonna write them. I just don't think it's worth it.

I'm just feeling really sad tonight.Here are the reasons:

1) The next riding lesson is so far.. 4 days of not being near any horses. OMG. It's like that every week but it just seems like such a long time.Sigh.
2) And here's what makes me REALLY sad. Our trainer thinks (i hate to admit that i should probably use the word "will") that she is going to go to work to England. That seems so far away now. Me and 2 lesson buddies were thinking we could make a petition.
I don't know if it would work...A "don't get a job" petition doesn't sound that good. I really hope she doesn't leave, she's the best trainer i have EVER had. Great. Now i feel like sobbing.Just great.

This goddamn sucks.
And i think i still need to clean my room but i just can't make myself.

Yes we made the century's cold record in Tallinn today. 60 cm of pure snow! My mom says that she hasn't seen anything like this for more than 10 years!

Yes i am.
Firstly a little correction. The next horse show is on the 9th not the 10th.

In this post i am going to post a lot of the photos i have forgotten to post.

1) An in progress pic of the sock i was knitting. It was our homework from school.

I have finished it by now but it turned out so disabled that i have hidden it from public view.=)

So before i get started on 09 and 10 let me just tell you that at the horseshow i got 5th out 0f 10 entries. I think i did pretty good! I'm going to one on the 10th aswell sorry no pics yet my parents were a little late. But maybe my trainer has some photos..

2009:

It was pretty good! I got into the hobby more and most importantly...We started "modehorsies" this year. It's an estonian model horse club!
I also entered my 1st horse show!! Hehe. I also did a lot of artwork this year.
So overall it hasn't been that bad!

2010:

I made 24 new year promises. 2 every month! Hehe i might just be in over my head..
Lots of horsey stuff in there too.

Today i made 2 rope halters. 1 trad 1 classic. I think they're pretty good for a 1st try!
It's been snowing like crazy here.I have some pics of that too.

Just got back from the stables. Jumped a little more today.only two people at the lesson today, one of them being me. Got my first partial refusal.I should probably talk about this in my weekend riding report...

It really is snowing like CRAZY! Skid marks were literally everywhere.Kinda scary.

Yup. Why?
Because tomorrow I will enter my first ever horse show. The show consists of mainly 3 things: a small jumping course, a labyrinth and a slalom.
It'll be my third time jumping ever. How friggen awesome is that?
It's a small stable show not some huge event but to me, it's still BIG.
And this time I'll probably have pictures too!

So I lye here in my bed at 4.53 in the morning typing.Do I need more sleep? I have no idea.
Anyway...Some very exiting news have arrived!
I jumped for the first time in my life! Weeeee!!!! But more on that in my next riding report!

The schleich Arab mare is no longer bay. I just wasn't feelin' it.So off came the paint and I have sanded her mane completely. Today i'll take out the hacksaw and get to work on her tail. All this because she'll be haired. A she'll be bloody shoulder took think....
Winter holidays are here! No school! Is there anything better?
My SS received her package on the 22nd but mine hasn't arrived yet... But 's cool.
Loads of snow here also. A true winter wonderland!
OK it's 5.14 now I guess I'll try to get some more sleep..

Naturally i forgot some things and got carried away with real horses.Duh.
So we got more snow. Also a magically cold week. -12 C is not cool. It's friggen cold.
I can't imagine -45 C in Lapland. Ugh.
1 part of my door is at a 2o degree angle now.My sis again.I'm scared to touch it.I'm afraid it'll fall off!
I'm now off to eat some fried bread and read Darja Dontsova's "Keeruline juhtum" which loosley translates "Complicated Case"

Weekend riding report

SO this is my 1st weekend riding report and basically what i'll be doing is i'll describe my riding lessons. I have one on Friday night and on Sunday.Pictures will probably be rare since i can't really take my cam with me and i wouldn't have time to take any photos anyway.

Friday

Our trainer Taive was at a christmas party and so Marit was the instructor for the day.I was supposed to ride Finlandia but Marit decided to put me on Laki (Lucky) instead. I was a little frightened at first but despite what i've heard he is actually very cute responsive and cheeky. I wouldn't mind riding him again!
Except he almost escaped his stable by lifting me 5 inches above ground with his neck just to get out.FAIL. For both me and Laki.

Sunday

On sunday i still rode Finlandia (Finnu). So since Finnu can be complicated i'll start from the very beginning.
He's very easy to catch and bring in from the paddock I love that about him.
Cleaning him is easy too.
Tacking him up... now thats a whole differnt story! He hates putting on his bridle and his head is always high high up so i ALWAYS need assistance with that. Tighteninhg his girth isn't that good either.He won't hurt me but he snaps at me with his head. It's sad.
Riding him is cool though.
He has taught me so much about cantering. Hes also the the second horse ive fallen from but that was an easy fall and i got right back in the the saddle and cantered some more! Woot Woot!
Yeah i have decided to fall in love with him. Def not a good thing lol.

I <3 Finn.

But yeah I got to canter really long on him too like a whole 50 meters.
I'm just learning to canter remember!

But yeah overall it was a great weekend i loved it.

Lets start with the lol.
I can now enter my room from 2 separate places.All thanks to my 1 year old sister breaking my door in half.( It was a sliding door.)Maybe i'll get a new room sooner now!
But really it looks freaking hilarious!

Moving on to updates:
My schleich mare CM for a tutorial i'm writing has her 1st layer of bay.

I'm about to seal a deal on a bloody shoulder arab commission.

And i finished this model today on day 2 of working on her! I'd consider that a great turnout time.Ironically I'm trying to etch less due to the lack of etching blades but she is my 4th ethchie and now it's a tie between repaints and etchies.

I also finished my FL SS package today and will ship it out ASAP.

Also rode yesterday but i'll feature that in my Weekend riding report post.

So yeah taking my first steps into the world of blogging.I dunno if i'm the kind of person that blogs a lot but i sure hope so!
About me...
I love love love horses and ride twice a week at the coolest stable in Estonia.
Yes you read that right i am from Estonia. It's a rather small country but i don't mind.
I have been collecting model horses for almost 2 years now.
I think my collection consists of about 70 models.
I customize models using pastels and mixed media but you can say that i'm a definite beginner. (I've successfully only painted 4 models so far in my life!)
I am trying to make some decent tack someday.
I go to Tallinn art School. It's an after-school activity thing not a real school though.

So yeah, blogger, here i come!
